About Andrea
Hi, I’m Andrea, franchisee for Manchester North and franchisor of Little Music Stars from January 2026. Music, performance and working with children have been at the heart of my life for over 25 years, and I feel incredibly lucky to bring that experience into every Little Music Stars class.
My career began at just 14 when I appeared in Coronation Street as Melanie Hesketh. I then went on to build a successful career across television, musical theatre and live entertainment, performing in the West End and in major UK touring productions including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hello Dolly, Annie, West Side Story and The Wizard of Oz. I also performed internationally on cruise ships before moving my focus fully into teaching and working with children.
Teaching has been a huge part of my life since 2000. I’ve worked with students of all ages — from babies and toddlers right through to adults — delivering workshops and teaching for organisations including the National Theatre, Mayflower Musical Youth Theatre, Young Winchester Theatre Royal, Gymboree, Age UK and many independent schools across the UK.
I’m also the Principal of PQA Bury, where I’ve spent the last 10 years leading and developing a thriving performing arts academy for young people aged 4–18.
Little Music Stars brings together everything I love — music, creativity, confidence-building and seeing children light up when they discover something new. My goal is always to create a warm, welcoming space where every child feels encouraged to explore, join in and simply shine as they are.
